Excerpt from book:
Two patients are admitted to room no. 509. One is brilliant nineteen-year-old medical student, suffering from an incurable, fatal disease. She counts every extra breath as a blessings. The other is a twenty-five-year-old drug addict whose organs are slowly giving up. He can’t wait to get rid of his body, To him, the sooner the better.

Two reputed doctors, fighting their own demons from the past, are trying everything to keep their patients alive, even putting their medical licenses at risk. These last days in the hospital change the two patients, their doctors and all the other people around them in ways they had never imagined.

Dushyant Roy, is a macho guy who falls in the trap of substance abuse, after going through a breakup with his girlfriend, Kajal Khurana which results in his organs failing him. Pihu Malhotra is a 19-year old medical student, studying to become a surgeon and is suddenly diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease. The two are placed on adjacent beds, and can’t get along with each other initially.

Armaan Kashyap and Zarah Mirza are two young and highly successful doctors that attend to Dushyant’s and Pihu’s case. Initially, the two couldn’t diagnose what was wrong with Dushyant, however, Pihu helped them understand Dushyant’s condition. Zarah was in-charge of Dushyant’s case and it was not too long after, that she began to get extremely possessive of Dushyant, even after his ex-girlfriend makes an entry into his life once again. Even though Armaan and Zarah excel in their own spheres, the two are haunted by demons from their past. But they put in everything they’ve got, to bring Dushyant and Pihu through this rough phase in their life.

Bad part is so-average book cover and not-so-good paper quality. “Till The Last Breath” is story of drugs, hospital, mistakes, motivation, loss, life, hope, friendship and love. There are so many beautiful moments in the book which will make you cry. I will say, “Till The Last Breath” is Durjoy Datta’s best work. Don’t miss it.

Have you read all Durjoy Datta’s book?? His books end with great note. In “Till the last breath”, Durjoy picked different genre than traditional romantic theory and he really did amazing job here. Completely agree with your comments.
